SOCIAL TENNIS

Sunday Social tennis has been played at the Hawthorn Tennis Club since 1946. All members (and potential members keen to get an introduction to the Club) are welcome to come down on a casual basis from 2pm on any* Sunday for a set or two (or three!) of social doubles tennis. No reservations required, just turn up if you feel like a hit! All welcome.

Note: Sunday Social is recommended for players with a minimum standard of being able to rally and understand the rules of tennis play, to make for an enjoyable social doubles hit of tennis for all. For others, feel free to come along and get a feel for the Club and we can talk to you about alternate options that are available at the Club to get your skills up, such as coaching.

*Sunday Social does not run during the Christmas/New year period and Easter, and will be cancelled if the forecast temperature is over 35 degC.

There are also a variety of other social groups, including a Junior Social group, a Young Adult Social group, and other members organised groups playing at the Club on a regular basis, either on weekdays or evenings. We also have a beginner’s WhatsApp group for new players to connect and look to improve their skills together.
